When tournaments become a life goal
(Interview with Mr. Pasha Khoroshilov, new appointed WMF Tournament director)
Tournaments are those periods in time when all the strength and focus are being systematically concentrated in order for teams to reach the highest peak of their performance, and of course – to win.
Competing is in the very core of the gatherings such as tournaments and it arises excitement in all the actors involved: players, management teams, fans, and audience. A wide array of emotions is present during the events, which gives very vibrating value even before the tournaments begin.
They also bring joy and fun due to the side-happenings at the locations where games happen, involving the wider public as there is no way that the people in a close environment of the place where match happens do not know that sport is going on there. True minifootball lovers do a great job in promotion and make sure that as many people as possible know about it.
“Football is the most popular game on the planet” as Mr. Pasha Khoroshilov, Tournament director of WMF, says, and that good marketing job should give people the right information about the tournaments as positive visibility.
In order for tournaments to be what is expected from them, perfect organization and true dedication are essential. This also means dedicating life to it, as Mr. Khoroshilov explains: “I am in sports all my life. Better to say: sport and competitions – are my life.”
Mr. Khoroshilov started playing American football in Russia in 1995 when he was 8 years old. Throughout his career, he played in many big tournaments. In 2015 he started working as National Team Russia General Manager. In 2017 he was employed by Russian LOC 2018 and FIFA as the Venue Competition manager for the World Cup 2018 at the Kaliningrad stadium.
Now, as Tournament director of WMF he will be focusing on the preparation for the tournaments to come, draws, collaboration with the LOC’s, and everything that will help to organize each following tournament at the highest level.
“I can’t wait for all these tournaments, it should be very exciting”, says Mr. Khoroshilov while announcing the next tournaments to happen very soon, namely: WMF WORLD CUP U21 2018, which will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, October 4th to 7th; in December 2018 top eight national teams from five continents will play the WMF NESSMA CONTINENTAL CUP in Tunisia, and also looking forward to the preparations of the WMF WORLD CUP 2019 (M/F) in Australia.
Combining the vast experience, excitement and will to contribute to minifootbal tournaments in future, we can expect that high level of organization for the satisfaction of all those interested in minifootball can be guaranteed.
“The World Cup 2018 gave me a lot of good memories, friends and of course experience that I will use in the new chapter of my life as the Tournament director for WMF” – Mr. Khoroshilov promises with certainty.
