WMF Referee Committee

The WMF Referees Committee is responsible for the strategic development and standardization of refereeing across the World Minifootball Federation.

The WMF Referee Committee develops education programmes, implements consistent evaluation systems, promotes innovation and supports the professional growth of referees at all levels, contributing to the integrity, fairness and continuous development of minifootball worldwide.

The Committee organises referee education, training and performance evaluation, develops theoretical and physical assessment standards, manages the international referee database, reviews the Rules of the Game and refereeing regulations, conducts video analysis of matches, promotes the Young Talent Programme, identifies and develops female referees, builds development partnerships, coordinates appointments for WMF competitions, ensures consistent interpretation of the Rules across member federations, and provides guidance and educational resources to national associations.

Main Responsibilities

The Referee Committee leads the development, education, and standardization of refereeing by overseeing key responsibilities that ensure excellence across all WMF competitions.
  • Organise referee education, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop theoretical and physical assessment standards and tests.
  • Manage and update the international referee database.
  • Review and update the Rules of the Game and refereeing regulations.
  • Conduct video analysis of matches to support referee development and performance improvement.
  • Promote and implement the Young Talent Programme.
  • Identify, develop, and promote female referees.
  • Build partnerships that support the global development of refereeing.
  • Coordinate referee appointments and recommendations for WMF competitions.
  • Encourage consistency in the interpretation and application of the Rules of the Game across all member federations.
  • Support member federations through guidance, educational resources, and best practices.
