Guatemala: Fighting the rivals is nice
Guatemala runs minifootball there, indeed:
ASOFUM runs for 3 straight years the National 7v7 League (Liga Nacional de Fútbol7 de Guatemala) with 12 teams. Also, we organize local 7v7 leagues. Each league has 12 teams.
And expectations for the WMF World Cup 2019 are not small at all: “I expect a superb tournament organized by the Australian Minifootball Federation. Concerning our team, our objectives are: to show the world a good image and qualify to the next round”, as Mr. Pablo Melgar, Manager and coach, states.
He also estimates that Czech Republic, Mexico, USA, and Brazil are the favorites to win; out which he would honestly avoid playing against the Czech Republic or Mexico, BUT STILL would like to play with Mexico if getting to finals “because of the rivalry we have. Last Pan Am Cup in Guatemala it was a tough semifinals game when we beat them to get to the finals”.
