Croatia voted for Player of the decade & women player of the year
After celebrating a full decade of minifootball in Croatia (in reality it started in 2004. unofficially), the Croatian minifootball association added one more step in further development and conducted a voting process on social media for the best men’s player of the decade and women’s player of the year.
“We are incorporating our followers and minifootball fans into our development each year deeper into minifootball activities. This we see as the future of growing not just our players base, but also promoting minifootball as a sport and in the same time our social media platforms. For the first time we had voted in two categories, for the best men player of the decade (2011-2021.) and since our female minifootball is growing bigger each year, the female player of the year award. We had 10 players and 7 female players in the competition. In the end, viral reach was 327.132 people engaged, with 7.198 post likes, 447 post shares, 297 story shares, and in end 3.143 votes. It was a huge success and we hope next year in front of a bigger auditorium and end of the pandemic restrictions.” – as shared by Bruno Alpeza, the President of the Croatian Minifootball Association
Marko Habazin from Minifootball club Dinamo Zagreb was voted as the best player of the decade 2011-2022. “Please tell me this is not a dream”, said Marko to us, “this is the biggest achievement in my career, I want to thank all my teammates, association leadership, and all the fans and friends that have voted for me. This is a memory I’ll cherish for life.
”Maja Ivković from MNK Radnik Karlovac vas voted best women player of the year 2021. “Firstly, I am happy to play minifootball on the top level, we were 2nd on the national championships finals 2021. and took the trophy in Super Cup at the end of 2021. So this is only one more achievement in 2021. that I am so proud of, thank you all for voting and my girls in the club for supporting me, my coaches, and all the fans.” – Maja said.
The ceremony took place in the event hall in Al Dente restaurant in Zagreb City center.
This is a celebration for all of us and WMF wishes the Croatian teams the highest achievements in 2022. too.
