GUINEA AT THE CENTER OF WORLD MINIFOOTBALL: WMF Annual General Assembly to Elect New Leadership Alongside African Championship in January 2027
Guinea is gearing up to become the epicenter of international minifootball on 20 January 2027. The nation will host the WMF Annual General Assembly, which will also serve as the official elective assembly, held alongside the prestigious African Minifootball Championship.
Hosting the sport’s primary annual gathering alongside Africa’s premier continental tournament highlights the continent’s rapidly growing role in international minifootball, while underscoring WMF’s commitment to expanding and professionalizing the sport worldwide.
In addition to evaluating the past year and mapping out the future strategy of global minifootball, this regular Assembly carries special significance as member national federations gather to vote in the WMF elections. Delegates from around the world will choose the Federation’s President and Executive Board for a new five-year term, laying down the strategic foundation and leadership vision for the sport through 2032.
With championship action on the pitch and vital organizational decisions off it, Guinea is set to welcome global delegations for a landmark event. Preparations are officially underway as the international minifootball community prepares to open a powerful new chapter for the sport.
