Situation turns around on the second day of the WMF Women’s World cup 2021

Ukraine took a 2:0 lead against Moldova at halftime and extended it to 3:0 early in the second half, but awoke Moldova’s sleeping power, and suffered a 4:3 defeat. Moldova got their first goal of the tournament in the 30th minute on a free-kick and Valeria Arhirii scored the game-winner in the 43rd minute.
The USA had its lucky Friday 13th today with a 9:2 win over Switzerland. Alivia Milesky had three goals and Natalia Torres Diaz and Kennedy Kessler had two each. Switzerland forward Scilla Grossi’s first of two goals ended the USA’s 89-minute shutout streak.
For last but not least, the match between Guatemala and India was finished by the official cut with a score of 0:5 in India’s favor.
