Slovakia: Prepare through playing and don’t forget to be humble
Minifootball in Slovakia is all about significant numbers: Almost 8000 registered players in categories: U8, U10, U13, U15, U23, men, masters.
There is also no lack of competitions, as they run Slovak Minifootball Championship, Slovak Minifootball Cup, National Minifootball League.
What are your expectations when it comes to the World Cup 2019 itself, and what expectations do you have concerning your team?
Commenting on the challenge to predict the outcomes of the WMF World Cup 2019, Mr. Peter Kralik shared: “In Slovak minifootball federation we did maximum for the coaches and the players to prepare for WMF WC. All together 11 friendly matches in the last 4 months. Now it’s up to them to show what they are capable of. They will have to show the maximum in every single match, as we did when trying to give them the best possible conditions before WMF WC. And after that, we will see. It is our first WC and we are going to Australia with humility and humbleness.”
Entertaining fact is that Slovak team bets on Czech Republic, Romania, Australia or USA as favorites to become champions and these are exact same teams that they would not like to face in the knock out phase.
But, as through minifootball many friendships are made regardless of who’s a winner or who is not: it would be special for Slovakia and the Czech Republic to meet in the finals as they shared the same country roof before and have solid relations.
