WMF Confirms New Committee Appointments for the Upcoming Term
The World Minifootball Federation is moving into its next phase of growth with a series of key appointments across its governing committees. These updates, which run alongside the work of the existing Referee Committee, are part of a broader push to sharpen the federation’s focus on technical standards and administrative transparency.
A major addition to the structure is the newly established Technical Committee. Rene Ortiz Navarro (MEX) takes the lead as Chairman, working with Nebojsa Desnica (SRB), Robert Lupu (ROU), and Craig Rhodis (USA). The group’s immediate priority is the development of a global coaching framework, including new licensing programs and training initiatives designed to raise the bar for performance across all WMF events.
On the operational side, the Tournament Committee continues its work under Chairman Nemanja Ljumovic (MNE). While long-standing member David Alberti Constantinescu (ROU) remains a core part of the team, the committee adds fresh perspective through new members Mohammad Reza Nikbakht Sarvestani (AZE) and Juraj Supak (SVK). This team will be responsible for the logistical success and high-level execution of the federation’s upcoming international schedule.
The federation has also reinforced its commitment to fair play and legal clarity. Mark Staines (GBR) remains at the head of the Disciplinary Committee, now joined by Relja Aleksic (SRB) and Attila Takacs (ROU). To ensure there is a clear and fair process for all members, a new Appeal Committee has also been formed. Chaired by Jonathon Taylor (THA), the committee includes Mooti Dakhli (TUN) and Cosmin-Gabriel Barbieru (ROU).
These changes bring a wealth of international experience into the WMF’s daily operations. By leaning on the expertise of these individuals, the WMF is looking to strengthen the professional foundations of the sport and ensure that the growth of minifootball is managed with integrity and clear vision.
